Ahnu Footwear is an outdoor performance shoe manufacturer that combines the latest cutting-edge materials with best practices in biomechanical design to provide athletically minded individuals with comfort, support, and protection. Ahnu arrived at OC with questions about their online brand strategy and with potentially missed brand opportunities. Ultimately, Ahnu wanted to emerge as a brand leader, emphasizing the high performance features of their footwear and establishing a universal appeal to both male and female customers.
OC focused on adding value to the Ahnu brand by creating a unique Web experience for the customer by presenting product information in a more user-friendly, interesting format. We developed an interactive site that delivered product facts directly to the customer, rather than expecting the customer to drill down and search for information. The site also offered distinct sections and experiences tailored to men and to women, creating a more relevant user experience. Finally, OC strengthened Ahnu's community outreach visibility with a stronger focus on the concept of "The Greater Good," Ahnu's commitment to partner with organizations that make a beneficial difference in the world.
Since the re-launch of the Ahnu site, visits have increased by 67 percent. The bounce rate has decreased by 50 percent, from 12 percent to 6 percent, and page views have increased by 62 percent.
